Intense Épée Battles in Daugavpils
The Eurofence League stage in Daugavpils brought together a competitive international field, with senior épée events delivering high-quality fencing across both days.
In the men’s competition, Jevgeni Blinov secured victory after a strong and consistent performance throughout the tournament, confirming Estonia’s presence at the top of the podium. The final saw him overcome compatriot Oliver Laasik, while Adrian Grandal and Rytis Rauktis shared third place after reaching the semi-finals.
The women’s event saw home success, as Sofija Prosina claimed gold in front of the local crowd, delivering a confident performance on the piste. Paulina Bajorunaite finished second, while Paula Vasquez and Lurde Grabovskyte completed the podium with bronze medals.

U23 Talent Shines in Prague
In Prague, the U23 Circuit event highlighted the depth of European foil, with Italy emerging as a dominant force in the individual competitions.
The men’s foil event concluded with an all-Italian final, where Marco Panazzolo took first place ahead of Federico Greganti. The podium was completed by Thibaut Gaven Mary and Hunor Kosztolanyi, reflecting a strong international mix at the top level.
A similar scenario unfolded in the women’s foil event, where Italy again secured both gold and silver medals. Giorgia Ruta claimed victory, followed by Beatrice Pia Maria Bibite, while Talitha Sluman and Daria Malysheva finished third.

Czechia’s first team secured victory in the men’s foil event, finishing ahead of Germany, while a second Czech team completed the podium in third place. In the women’s competition, Czechia once again took gold with their leading team, followed by British fencing in second place and another Czech team finishing third.
