France and Italy Lead as Cadet Team Events Ignite Championship Momentum

Team Spirit Takes Centre Stage in Tbilisi

The third day of the European Cadets & Juniors Fencing Championships in Tbilisi shifted the focus from individual brilliance to collective strength. With 61 teams competing across three weapons, the cadet team events delivered intensity, tactical depth and emotional finals that further shaped the medal standings.

Cadet Men’s Épée Team: France Confirms Its Depth

A total of 29 teams entered the Cadet Men’s Épée competition, underlining once again the extraordinary depth of this weapon. France claimed the gold medal with a strong and balanced squad composed of Chapoulie Loan, Toto Hiroaki, Leblanc-Morel Lucien and Le May Alban, confirming its dominance after already securing individual success earlier in the week.

Israel earned silver thanks to the team of Lachman Mordechai Milu, Charmatski Eitan Efraim, Botvinnik Lev and Cohen Gilad Yehoda, while Italy completed the podium with bronze through Monaco Valentino, Giovita Gabriele, Bossalini Andrea and De Gaetano Pietro.

Cadet Women’s Foil Team: Italian Precision

In women’s foil, 18 teams fought for the European title. Italy emerged victorious through Molteni Martina, Picchi Elena, Fattori Maria Elisa and Pasqualino Gloria, delivering a consistent performance throughout the elimination rounds.

Poland secured the silver medal with Pisarewicz Olga, Mos Teresa, Tym Danuta and Gatz Alicja, while France added another podium finish with bronze thanks to Mazille Pauline, Goutenegre Eloise, Gaillardot Lilou and Bolore Melisande.

Cadet Women’s Sabre Team: Italy Strikes Again

Fourteen teams competed in Cadet Women’s Sabre, where Italy celebrated a second team gold of the day. Mocci Vittoria, Fusetti Vittoria, Torre Anna and Reale Matilde combined tactical discipline with fighting spirit to secure the European title.

Türkiye earned silver through Kurek Berra, Salman Defne, Kocak Elif Cinar and Senoglu Irmak, while Germany claimed bronze with Haack Mirja-Lena, Voytova Viktoria, Su Ruoshui and Rezi Luisa.

Italy’s double gold performance makes it one of the standout nations of Day III.

Medal Standings After Three Days

With the cadet team events now underway, the medal table continues to evolve. France remains among the leaders thanks to multiple gold medals in épée and foil, while Italy has significantly strengthened its position through team victories in both foil and sabre, alongside earlier individual podium finishes.

Hungary, Türkiye, Israel and Georgia remain firmly in contention, reflecting the broad competitive balance across European youth fencing.

Across the three cadet team events today, 61 teams and more than 240 athletes took to the piste, adding further scale to a Championship that continues to demonstrate both quality and participation depth.
