EFC Safeguarding Commission launches new education programme for members and federations

Strengthening Safe Sport Across Europe

The European Fencing Confederation Safeguarding Commission is pleased to present the 2026 Safeguarding Seminars programme, continuing its commitment to ensuring that fencing environments across Europe are safe, respectful and supportive for all participants.

Education remains a central pillar of the EFC safeguarding strategy. These online seminars are designed to provide clarity, practical guidance and shared standards for everyone involved in European fencing — from athletes and coaches to federation officials and event safeguarding officers.

As Georgina Usher, Chair of the EFC Safeguarding Commission, underlined:
“These training opportunities support our commitment to ensure that all participants, particularly our young athletes, can experience our sport in environments free of harassment and abuse. Whatever your role in fencing we welcome you to join this training.”
