Espoo Competition Confirms Circuit Value
Results Overview
The U14 Circuit Espoo delivered a full weekend of intense and educational competition, with young épée fencers showcasing talent, composure and growing tactical maturity across both individual and team events.
Individual Competitions
In the U14 men’s épée, Italy celebrated victory thanks to Emanuele Cuculi, who took the top step of the podium after a consistent and confident performance. Sweden’s Oscar Cronstedt claimed second place, while bronze medals were shared by Oliver Reagen of Great Britain and Poyraz Nuzumlaer of Türkiye.
The U14 women’s épée event saw Germany’s Klara Drummer secure gold, confirming her strong form throughout the competition. Silver went to Pelin Mutaf of Türkiye, with Estonia celebrating a double podium finish as Elizabeth Lunden and Agnia-Maria Girenko both earned bronze medals.
Team Events
Team competitions added an important collective dimension to the weekend. In the men’s épée team event, Estoniaclaimed first place with Robert Kivi, Alex Konsap and Sebastian Snitsarenko combining effectively throughout the competition. The mixed Germany–Great Britain team finished second, represented by Constantin Huebsch, Leander Kammerer and Jonathan MacDonald, while Great Britain secured bronze thanks to Rowan Hodkinson, Benjamin McConnell, Oliver Reagen and Dan Robinson.
In the women’s épée team event, victory went to the mixed team of Germany–China–Chinese Taipei, with Hannah Cheng, Klara Drummer, Maya Ehret and Jingxuan Han delivering a strong and cohesive performance. Estoniafinished second, represented by Agnia-Maria Girenko, Elizabeth Lunden and Arianna Noorkoiv, while Swedencompleted the podium with Ellen Magnusson, Tini Huang and Theodora Persson.
