Dear friends!

I want to congratulate all fencers not only in Europe, but around the world on the occasion of a unique professional holiday – World Fencing Day.
Recent months have been challenging for all of us. The Covid-19 pandemic has forced to cease all competitions.
However, many athletes continued to train – though in very different and extraordinary conditions – homes, balconies, rooftops, garages and other uncommon locations.
What a spectacular demonstration of exceptional Olympian perspective and creativity, mental and spiritual strengths! You are outstanding and great – athletes, fencers, role models.
I do hope we will have an opportunity to personally meet again very soon and celebrate the new start of fencing activities.
I wish you good luck, stay strong, stay healthy and optimistic.
