About

Jacek Slupski is an experienced sports executive and former elite athlete with extensive leadership experience in European and international fencing. Since 2017, he has served as Secretary General of the European Fencing Confederation (EFC), playing a central role in strategic development and governance, and since 2018 has been President of the EFC Referees Commission, overseeing refereeing standards and education at continental level.

 

Between 2013 and 2017, he was a member of the EFC Competition Commission and has held key technical leadership roles at major championships, including President of the Directoire Technique at the Senior European Championships (Montreux 2015) and the Junior and Cadet European Championships (Plovdiv 2017), as well as DT member at the U23 European Championships (Tbilisi 2014). At national level, he has served as Secretary General and CEO of the Polish Fencing Federation since 2009, following earlier management experience with AZS–AWF Warszawa Club.

 

A former member of the Polish National Olympic Team in foil, Jacek combines high-level athletic experience with international refereeing credentials as an FIE-licensed foil referee. He holds an Executive MBA from the Warsaw School of Economics, master’s degrees in Management and Physical Education, and postgraduate qualifications in marketing and modern management. His profile is further strengthened by specialized training in leadership, finance, crisis management, and governance, bringing strategic insight and operational expertise to the development of European fencing.
